Swipedas
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This notice describes the processing of personal data in the Swipedas iPhone app, on this website, and when you contact support.
1. Who is responsible
Mabudev UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Melatengürtel 107, 50825 Cologne, Germany, is responsible for the processing described here. Contact us at info@mabudev.de. Further company details are available on our Legal page.
2. Photos and local decisions
Swipedas is built with SwiftUI and uses Apple’s PhotoKit to access the photos you permit it to access. Photo processing and sorting decisions remain locally on your iPhone. Swipedas does not upload your photos or sorting decisions to our servers, and no photos are sent to RevenueCat.
You control photo access through iOS permissions. With limited access, only your selected photos are available to the app. Changing or withdrawing permission affects which photos Swipedas can work with.
Apple may download and sync photos through your existing iCloud Photos library. This is Apple’s system service, separate from Swipedas’s local processing. Confirmed deletions normally move photos to Apple’s Recently Deleted album; with iCloud Photos enabled, deletion also affects connected devices.
3. Apple purchases and payments
The app is distributed through Apple’s App Store. All purchases and payments are made exclusively through Apple’s in-app purchase system. This website has no checkout and does not sell subscriptions or collect payment details.
Apple processes the information needed for your Apple Account, billing, and payment under its own terms and privacy information. Swipedas uses purchase and subscription information to determine whether Swipedas Pro is available to you. We do not receive your payment card details through the app.
4. RevenueCat and RevenueCatUI
Swipedas uses RevenueCat and RevenueCatUI for the paywall, purchase verification, subscription status, Pro access, and restoring purchases. These services involve communication with RevenueCat and processing of purchase and subscription information.
RevenueCat generates the app-user identifier itself. We do not provide a custom user identifier, your email address, or other customer attributes to RevenueCat. The SDK-generated identifier is separate from a Swipedas login; Swipedas has no user accounts. A random identifier does not mean that all related processing is anonymous.
No photos or local sorting decisions are provided to RevenueCat. No advertising or additional analytics SDKs are built into Swipedas. RevenueCat’s SDK and paywall services are separate from the website, which does not load them.
RevenueCat, Inc. is a US-based service provider. Its published documentation describes its data-processing framework, subprocessors, and international transfers: RevenueCat’s Data Processing Addendum. Its privacy information also explains the distinction between its own processing and processing for app providers. Requests concerning Swipedas data should be addressed to Mabudev.
5. Website hosting and logs
This static website is hosted with Hetzner Online GmbH on a server located in Germany and served over HTTPS. No Hetzner server backups are configured. It has no advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, newsletter signup, or contact form. It does not set cookies or use local or session storage. Fonts and website assets are served locally.
The Nginx server processes connection and request data to deliver the website and maintain its security and operation. Its access logs record IP addresses, request times, requested paths and query strings, HTTP methods and protocol versions, response codes and sizes, and browser and referrer information when supplied by your browser. Error logs may contain connection, request, and error details.
The configured log rotation runs daily and keeps up to 14 rotated archive generations. Empty logs are not rotated. This describes the server’s rotation settings rather than a fixed number of days for every record.
6. Support emails
If you email info@mabudev.de, we process your email address, message, and any information you choose to include so that we can respond and handle related follow-up. Support correspondence is handled through Microsoft 365, which processes email as part of delivering and storing messages. Please avoid sending private photos or payment credentials.
7. Purposes and legal bases
Providing the requested app functionality, checking Pro access, and handling related support are based on performance of a contract or steps you request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Website delivery, security, error handling, and general enquiries are based on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable service and responding to requests (Article 6(1)(f)). Where applicable, mandatory legal obligations provide a basis under Article 6(1)(c).
An iOS photo-access permission controls technical access; it is not a blanket consent to send photos to third parties. Your photos are not uploaded by Swipedas.
8. Storage and retention
We hold no server-side copies of your photos or sorting decisions. Photo storage and any iCloud synchronization are controlled by iOS and your Apple settings. Website logs follow the rotation configuration described above.
Retention of support correspondence depends on the request, related follow-up, and applicable legal obligations. Purchase and subscription records are processed as part of the Apple and RevenueCat services; their service arrangements and applicable legal requirements affect retention. Deleting the app does not cancel an Apple subscription or automatically erase third-party purchase records.
9. Your rights
Subject to the applicable GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, and portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it for the future. Contact info@mabudev.de to exercise your rights.
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, including the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia, or the authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred.
10. External links
Links to Apple, RevenueCat, Hetzner, and other external websites are ordinary links. Those providers receive your request when you visit their sites and apply their own privacy information.
